🆕 Manage cloud integrations

We are making significant progress in migrating all administrative functionalities from our previous Admin platform to the revamped Showell App for Web. Now, you can effortlessly manage your cloud integrations directly within the app, and enjoy the added functionality of creating linkages right inside your folders
This can currently be done with Google Drive, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teamsdrive) and Dropbox

🆕 Analytics

Analytics have been brought over from Showell Admin to the Showell App for Web! You can now access your general overview, users, groups, content, Shares and Events analytics from the side menu: Admin > Analytics

UI performance optimizations
Resolved several issues including: loss of value when closing and reopening a form fieldset in Shares, thumbnail visibility problems on Mac/iOS devices, login redirection errors, inconsistencies in search filters, and user participation for LMS quizzes.

🆕 Share sections

We are excited to introduce the new Share Sections feature. This enhancement allows you to organize your content within a Share Link (Digital Sales Room), facilitating a clearer and more structured room for your customers and prospects.

We have enhanced the User Interface of our app to deliver an improved user experience. 10.30.1 - A sprinkle of fixes and a dash of improvements for the Messaging feature and related features

10.31 - Resolved a video download issue, improved Smart Folder language and sorting preferences, optimized presentation opening, displayed clear errors for non-existent invitations, and ensured uploaded file notifications automatically dismiss after a few seconds
10.31.1 - The recent update to the Smart Folder feature has been reverted due to some encountered issues. As a result, the language filtering option is currently not available

🆕 10.26 - Navigate Showell in Norwegian or Danish

We've added support for Norwegian and Danish. To change your language, go to your Settings > Preferences > Language

🆕 10.27 - Share Collaboration

You have the ability to invite other users from your Workspace to collaborate on your Share. These collaborators can view the contents and analytics data directly within the Showell App. Additionally, you can grant them editing privileges, allowing for a more interactive and collaborative experience.

🆕 10.27 - Add User privileges to content

In addition to the ability to grant Group privileges for your content and folders, you now have the option to assign individual user privileges. This enhancement offers you greater flexibility in customizing your Workspace to meet your specific needs.

🆕 10.27 - Manage your Workspace's file download options

From your Workspace settings, you have the option to control whether users can download content to their devices. You can either disable this feature entirely or make it less obvious for the user to find.

🆕 10.28.1 - Domain invitation

When creating an invitation, you now have the option to invite users based on their domain name.

🆕 10.30 - Share Messaging

Within the Digital Sales Room, you can engage in direct communication with all your prospects and customers. This feature allows for real-time discussions, making it easier to address inquiries, clarify points, and provide additional information that may be crucial for the decision-making process.
Furthermore, you now have the ability to limit the visibility of your Share links by specifying allowed domains or individual email addresses.

You can easily notify users about newly uploaded files by selecting the 'Notify Users' button in the pop-up window
Video files are now more easily identifiable thanks to the newly added 'video play' icon next to their titles
Enhancing the process of uploading Microsoft Office files
Users are now informed when a file conversion is in progress, improving transparency
Additionally, fixes have been implemented for FileBrowser search functionalities and navigation within search results. Improvements have also been made to Kiosk autoplay features and Smart Folder operations
10.27 - Resolved analytics tracking issues, addressed a presentation folder bug, fixed a Kiosk mode problem, and enhanced Smart Folders
10.28 - We have implemented safeguards to prevent the use of illegal characters when naming files in M365. Microsoft restricts certain reserved characters to ensure compatibility and functionality.
10.28.1 - General Workspace setting fixes

10.28.2 - Fixed a bug that prevented an Admin from sending out Invitations
10.29 - Resolved issues with uploading files directly from your device to share when conversion is necessary, ensuring a smoother sharing experience

Restored the Attach button in the Showell Outlook add-on for easy attachment of existing shares.
Resolved discrepancy between File Browser and search results.
Fixed issue where the "Receive notifications about shares" switch showed as OFF despite the user being subscribed.
10.24 - Resolved an issue where the Subject field was not marked as mandatory during the submission of a Share, specifically when the workspace setting 'Send share links using: Showell mail server' was activated.

Our revamped MS365 Editor now comes with exciting new features. You can easily copy and edit Office files that have been uploaded by your Administrators to your Workspace. The edited versions of these files will be conveniently stored in your My Files.

Explore AI-generated suggestions for shared content. When creating or managing a share, the AI will recommend files that could enhance the Share's content
When managing existing shares, you now have the option to easily share them again via email
Each share is accompanied by a QR code for easy access and sharing

🆕 Drag & Drop support

In Edit-mode, You can now drag & drop one or multiple items into folders.
Re-ordering items 'default order' now happens clutter free by clicking the double arrow icon in the top right corner ( ), and utilizing the drag & drop feature
you can also utilize this option while creating or managing a share, or from the 'collect'-basket

🆕 New bulk mangement option

In Edit-mode, Users now have the ability to efficiently manage the 'Share original' setting in bulk. By selecting multiple items, users can easily determine whether the original file type can be shared.

🆕 Manage your Share Email Notifications

From your My Settings > Preferences, you can determine if by default you want to receive email notifications for opened shares.

🆕 10.15 - Edit mode can now be enabled for all users

Admins now have the ability to enable edit mode for all users directly from the workspace settings. This allows users to edit files and folders based on their assigned group permissions.

10.15 - Addressed a few bugs with presentations, scrolling shares, and showcasing file conversion progress
10.15 - File's original extension is shown in file listings instead of the converted extension. For example: PPTX instead of PDF
10.15 - Display a notification on the Trash screen informing users that trashed files will be kept for 60 days before being permanently deleted. Additionally, include a button for easily clearing all trashed items.

🆕 10.9.2 - Introducing a new feature that allows admins to have better control over assigning group privileges to folders.

Administrators now have the flexibility to select from 3 different options on how setting folder privileges will impact their files and subfolders.

This update addresses problems related to transitioning presentations from the old to the new Showell 10 format. Along with this, it incorporates various fixes and enhancements to improve performance.

10.7 - March 2024

🆕 Introducing some exciting new admin features for the Showell App on the Web!

Admins now have the ability to set expiration dates for files.
Admins now have the capability to edit multiple files in bulk simultaneously. This feature allows for editing share settings, keywords, expiration dates, and languages all at once.

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

We ditched the '100 files' restriction in the File Browser.
A problem with uploading a large number of files and folders has been successfully ironed out.
Now you can rock the Google File Editor across multiple workspaces simultaneously.

10.6/10.6.2 - March 2024

🆕 Custom login links support

With a Custom Domain, you now have the option to add up to 3 custom links on the login screen. If you would like this feature enabled, please contact us for assistance.

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

We've double-checked that the 'New' list (located in the side menu under Files > New) consistently displays the accurate items.
Now, your invitation message can contain links. Plus, if an invitee is already rocking SSO or MFA with another workspace, joining the new workspace is a piece of cake.
We tackled some issues related to custom domain cross-workspace usage and implemented fixes and enhancements for sign-ups.
10.6.2 - Fixes to the Presentation Creator have been rolled out.

10.5/10.5.4 - February 2024

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

We gave the Showell App for Web a little tune-up by resolving an issue with opening PDFs and selecting files from the File Browser.
10.5.2 - Added a feature to alert users about using an outdated or incompatible browser.
10.5.2 - Provided a fix with Google File Editor (Edit as New).
10.5.4 - Implemented a configuration update that now automatically converts .tif and .tiff files to .pdf format.

10.4 - February 2024

🆕 Major improvements to the File Browser

You now have the option to select presentations from the File Browser when selecting files for sharing.
When choosing content for a presentation, the File Browser now displays the total number of selected pages, rather than individual files.
When choosing pages to include in your presentation, the File Browser now remembers the folder you were previously in.
The File Browser now utilizes the Back button for back navigation instead of breadcrumbs.

Spruced up the 'Admin'-tab options by relocating some options under 'Workspace Settings' for a more organized and user-friendly experience.
We've added 'Presentations' to the top menu in the File Browser
Moved the 'Properties' button for managing files, shares, or presentations to the right in list view, this adds a touch of improved user-friendliness.
When content of a Presentation has received an update, the users will now be notified with a 'toast' upon opening the presentation.
Resolved an issue where all languages were shown in the File Browser, instead of only the preferred languages.

🆕 Access User My Files

This Feature has been available from the Showell Admin platform. However, as an Admin, you can now easily access the user's My Files using the Showell App for Web as well.

🆕 Option to remove the Digital Sales Room Footer

It is now possible, with Branding+, to remove the footer in the Digital Sales Room.

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

A plethora of under-the-hood optimizations have been rolled out to elevate the Showell App for Web. This includes enhancements to Presentation Downloads, resolution of privilege issues, improved auto thumbnail creation for updated files, enhanced language selection, improved 'Preview' during share creation, resolved share analytic issues, and overall feature improvements.
We've beefed up security in the Free Showell workspace by disabling the download feature in the Digital Sales Room, adding an extra layer of protection.
We have made significant enhancements to the sign-up process for new freemium users, completely redesigning it to provide a more seamless and user-friendly experience.
10.3.1 - Resolved a login bug that was causing users to be unexpectedly signed out.

🆕 Added the "Country" and "Company" fields to User Export

When exporting your user list, it will now also provide the Country and Company information.

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

Numerous additional tweaks and enhancements have been made during this release, resulting in noticeable improvements to translations and language settings, the login screen background for Custom Domains, Notes, Smart Folders, and Group filtering by name.
When you haven't made any searches yet, the Shares search tab will display a list of recent shares.

🆕 Added an overview list of new and updated materials

When your Workspace Administrators upload or update materials, you'll now be able to find an overview of this.
Click 'Files' in the side menu, and choose the 'New'-tab.

Because the Showell 10 release is substantial, we have quickly taken care of some bugs through multiple minor updates to ensure the most seamless App browsing experience possible.

10.0.2 - Issue fixed with logo and avatar. Compatibility issue fixes with SalesForce.
10.0.3 - Issue resolved with missing content for certain users.
10.0.4 - Translation bug, and login redirect are fixed.
10.0.5 - An issue with user removal is now resolved, and our error logging has been improved.
10.0.7 - Forgot your Password? No need to worry, this feature encountered a minor hiccup that we swiftly addressed in this release.
10.0.8 - We've given a good whack to a bug affecting Smart Tools. It won't be bothering you anymore!

10.0.0 - December 2023

🆕 Fully renewed User Interface

The side menu and top menu have been redesigned to offer a fresh and modern appearance, making navigation clean and intuitive.
Introducing the 'Home'-tab: This helps to quickly return to the main page
You can now navigate through all the files in your Workspace even faster by using the 'Files' option in the side menu or the breadcrumbs provided in the top menu.
The top menu bar is now conveniently fixed to the top of the screen, so you can easily access all of its functions without any hassle. This ensures that you have immediate access to all the features right at your fingertips.
'Tools' has now been changed to the '3 dots' icon, as this is a common and understandable icon among a multitude of applications.
In grid view, the thumbnails have been redesigned and we've made some space for longer file names. Additionally if you're using a mouse, hovering on top of the title will display the full title for longer file names.

🆕 Admin mode & Workspace Settings

We've brought over a multitude of administrative features from our Showell Admin platform to the Showell App for Web
The 'Admin' tab from the side menu offers a wide range of new functions that allow you to have more control and manage various aspects of the Showell App.
Adjust general Workspace settings, such as your Organization (Workspace) name and country
Add a Custom Terms of Service link (URL) - This can then be added to user invitations
Set a Share expiration date default for the whole Workspace
Change your Brand/Workspace color and logo
Add additional brands: When activated on your Workspace, you are able to add multiple brands to your Workspace, that can then be utilized in your users Digital Sales Rooms.

🆕 Content Management ('Edit'-mode)

As an Admin, you can swap between 'Edit' and 'View' mode to quickly make adjustments or then present to customers.
Search, Filter or sort your files directly from the content management area
Create Smart Folders: This new features allows you to save a search filter 'preset'
You can now change your files and folders thumbnails
You can now change your top-level folders wallpaper/background
Tag your documents with keywords
Provide your files with language tags
Apply 'keep on device' setting
The 'Keep on Device' option is now available for individual files
Set a file to be 'Shareable' or not
Set a file to be shareable in its original file format
Drag and drop files/folders in the right order
Set Group privileges for Folders
Beside folders, you can now set group privileges for files
Hide files/folders
Hidden files and folders now have a semi-transparent appearance, making it easier to identify them
Improved background and thumbnail gallery; where you can now navigate in the whole Workspace contents structure
New uploaded files and folders are no longer auto-capitalized
Under the 'Admin' tab from the side menu, you can now find 'Storage'. This shows you a listing of all your workspace contents sorted by size. This is convenient if you'd like to reduce the Workspace's amount of data
Under the 'Admin' tab from the side menu, you can now also find 'Trash'. Any content removed from your Workspace, will be stored in your trash folder up to 60 days.

In a user invitation, you can now select groups from a drop-down menu
You can now have user invitation message templates by using the 'Use Previous Message' button. This will showcase all previously written invitation messages.
An additional security benefit has been added, that as an Admin, you can logout individual users from all their devices (reset login)

🆕 Updates to 'My Settings' tab: User Settings, Preferences & Links

You can now find a multitude of additional options under 'My Settings' from the side menu
Change your name, email, title, country and company
Add social links or company website - These links will be displayed in the Digital Sales Room
Option to change your Home Workspace
Storage: You can now easily remove any files that you have uploaded to My Files in order to free up storage space
Trash: Accidentally deleted a file from your My Files? You can now restore them from your personal trash folder - or then permanently delete!
From the Showell native apps (Windows, iOS android), you can remove downloaded contents from your device.

🆕 Updates to Content Viewing, Finding & Collecting

AI Recommendations: When opening the 'Search' window, you will be provided with a list of recommended files
Search has been updated with a 'recently viewed' list
Search filter options received a face lift.
(Native Apps only): Option to remove downloaded files. This will help regain space on your device.
The 'Home' tab in the side menu will quickly bring you back to the main page
Breadcrumb navigation: From the top menu bar, you can click the 'path' (your current location in the App), this will help you navigate quicker to any place in Showell.
Page navigation in documents: Page numbers and the clickable option to navigate between pages have been relocated to the bottom right corner of the document. In addition, you can now access the Table of Contents from this location, which has also been updated with a thumbnail overview for easier navigation.
Draw: The drawing feature can be accessed from the bottom right corner of the screen or by clicking on the page number in a document with multiple pages. We have also given it a fresh, modern look to enhance the user experience.
In addition to the 'Draw' feature, we have introduced the 'Pointer' feature. With the 'Pointer', you can easily make annotations while presenting and they will automatically fade away. This is a fantastic tool for temporarily highlighting important information.
You can now Collect files, by clicking the '+' icon on the file's thumbnail.

Sort your presentations directly from the 'Presentations' area
When creating a presentation, you can conveniently select files directly from the File Browser window. This window allows for quick navigation and added convenience, with a top menu that provides quick access to all Files, your My Files, Recently viewed items, and Collected contents. Additionally, you can even search for specific files or folders and open multi-page documents to select individual pages.
Clicking the 3 dots on a slide in the presentation creator, allows you to quickly move slides in the right location.
Using a keyboard, you can quickly select multiple slides by using Shift+select. This is useful to remove multiple slides at once.
From the top menu, you have now the option for see a 'preview' of the presentation you are creating.
You can now add multiple Showell created 'Presentations' into a single share
Shared presentations can be downloaded from the Digital Sales Room right away as a PDF, without the need to convert them first.
