Group analytics

Use Group Analytics to compare different groups to each other and see the number of sessions and document views of each group during your selected time period.

💡Tips:choose analytics time frame

  • In the top right corner of every analytics page you can choose the exact time period OR click the 3 lines to quickly select the right time frame for your analytics.
  • download button Use the download button, available in most analytic sections, to get the information straight to your device in Excel (XLSX) file format.
  • magnifying glass button Use the magnifying glass, available in most analytic sections, to quickly find the information you need.
  • private label Documents marked with Private are part of the user's My Files.
  • Most of the column titles are clickable. This will sort the column's content alphabetically or numbers from high to low (click again to reverse the order).
  • User pseudonymization is an optional feature that keeps the user anonymous. However, you can still track all the activity. Certain countries privacy laws apply restrictions upon tracking user activity. Therefor we made it possible to apply pseudonymization for the account users. If you'd like to activate this option: please contact your Showell contact person or Showell Support.
    ⚠️If this optional feature is activated: Analytics that become Unavailable due to User Pseudonymization will be marked in this article with (UUP)

  • It takes 2 to 4 hours before the analytics data is available.

💡Benefits of Group analytics:

  • Groups help to manage multiple users at once, with group analytics you can compare these groups how they perform and what content they like to use.
  • If you notice a group is not performing as well as other groups, you can help to guide them in the right direction by offering support to those who need it, instead of gathering up the whole company.

With Group analytics, you will find the following sections:


Discover how many sessions each group has on any given day


  • By hovering the graph line, you can see the amount of times the group members have been active on individual days

Document views

Discover how many documents have been viewed by each group has on any given day

  • By hovering the graph line, you can see the amount of documents viewed by the group members on individual days

Group activity

immediately see what groups have been the most active by total sessions.

  • Group: Find all your company groups here
    • By hovering the group name, you can see the single graph line of the group in 'Sessions' and 'Document views'.

  • Click 'Sessions' to quickly see the most or least active groups

💡By clicking the group name, you can see the analytics of the individual group

  • Their amount of Sessions, Active users and document views
  • Their User activity
    • User (UUP), Time spent, Sessions, Shares and Views
