Showell App for Web:

Trash Folder

The Trash folder is your back up folder in case you accidentally remove your content or if you want to revive an expired file.

Trash Folder

  • To Access your Workspace Trash Folder: In the side menu of the Showell App for Web, click Admin > Trash
  • To Access your My Files 'personal' Trash Folder: In the side menu of the Showell App for Web, click My Settings > Trash

1. Select the contents you wish to Remove permanently or Restore

2. Click Remove permanently for a complete removal of the contents. This cannot be undone

3. Click Restore to place the files back to their original (or other) location

4. You can also 'Restore' or 'Remove permanently' individual files/folders by clicking the 3 dots. Clicking the 'Show'-button will reveal its original location.

5. To permanently delete all files at once, simply click on the 'Empty trash' button. You will still be asked to confirm the removal before proceeding.

How long does my deleted contents remains in the Trash Folder?

All your content will remain in the trash folder for 60 days after which it will be permanently deleted.

What happens if a file is deleted, that is still in an active Share?

If the file is still located in the Trash Folder, the file will remain accessible in existing shares.

If a new document is uploaded to the same folder with the same name as where the deleted document originally was placed, the deleted document will be removed from any existing shares.

How does the restoring of content work? Will it be returned to its original location?

With 1 file selected, it will suggest to be placed back into the folder of origin.

With multiple files selected from the same origin, it will suggest to be placed back into the folder of origin.

With multiple files selected from different origins, You will have to choose the folder you'd like to place them back in. as they will not be placed back into the folder of origin by default.
