Which app is which?

Showell runs in a lot of places. Here is what each name means.

Showell App for Web

  • Runs in any modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari - nothing to install. Always on the latest version, and the place to be for admin features and LMS.

  • navigate to app.showell.com or your company Custom Domain

Showell App for Windows, iOS or Android (Store)

  • The app you download from the Microsoft Store, Apple App Store (iPad, iPhone, Mac) or Google Play (Android tablets and phones).

Showell App for Windows or Mac (Desktop)

  • Coming soon! You install them on your computer and they keep themselves up to date, so there is no store involved.

Showell App for Outlook, Salesforce, Dynamics, PowerPoint and HubSpot

  • Add-ins and integrations that bring Showell into the tool you already work in.

Digital Sales Room

  • The Digital Sales Room is a secure and custom branded webpage for your customers to view and interact with content that you've shared via Showell.

How do I know what Showell Version I have installed?

Can I automatically update the Showell App?

Yes, most Showell apps update automatically, but the exact process depends on the platform you use and your device settings.

  • Showell for Web, the Digital Sales Room, and our core services are always automatically up-to-date without any action required from you. This automatic update rule also applies to most of our integrations and add-ins, such as Showell App for Outlook.

  • For the Windows and Mac desktop apps (coming soon), you will receive an immediate in-app notification whenever a new update is available. Simply accept this notification to instantly run the latest version.

  • If you downloaded Showell from an app store onto your iOS, Android, or Windows device, automatic updates depend entirely on your store settings. While these stores usually update apps by default, please note that new versions roll out gradually over a few days and will only install when the Showell app is completely closed. If you have disabled automatic updates in your device settings, you will need to open your app store and update Showell manually. Check our install and update guide for more information.

  • The exceptions to this rule are our Salesforce and Dynamics integrations, which require manual updates. If your organization utilizes either the Salesforce or Dynamics integration, we will inform you via email whenever a new update becomes available. Contact us if you are unsure whether you have missed an update.
