Develop engaging lessons to build knowledge and skills in each course.

Create & Manage Lessons

Each Course is made up of one or more lessons and/or quizzes. Before you begin creating lessons, please ensure that you have already set up a course.

1. Go to the side menu and select 'Courses', followed by going to 'Edit Mode', or alternatively, navigate to 'Admin' in the side menu and choose 'Course Management'

2. Access the course where you want to add a lesson > Click the Content tab > Click '+ Add Lesson'

3. Provide all necessary details for your lesson:

• Title: Give an engaging name to your lesson
• Description: Explain the overall goal of this lesson and the skills and knowledge that users will gain
• Duration: Estimate the time it will take for the user to complete this lesson

4. Add content to your lesson:

• You can add any type of material to your lesson, such as images, videos, documents or even 3D materials
• Simply select files that are already in Showell, or upload new lesson materials from your device

5. Provide an engaging thumbnail, title and/or description to your lesson materials:

• When you click a lesson material, you have the ability on the right hand side to change its thumbnail, title and description
• This can provide extra information to the course participant in why this material is important and what they will learn from it
• Be assured that if you have selected materials directly from your Showell Workspace, any changes you make to the thumbnail, title, or description will not impact the original file in the Workspace.

6. When you are ready with building your lesson, click 'Save changes' in the bottom left corner. You can leave the lesson creator by clicking the arrow back in the top left corner.

7. Feel free to add additional lessons to your course as needed, and you can include as many as you wish

Manage Lessons

You can manage your lessons at any time. You have the flexibility to modify all aspects of the lessons, including descriptions and contents.

For significant changes it's advisable to first unpublish the course. After making your adjustments, you can republish it for user access. 

To change the order, or remove a lesson/quiz: click the three dots next to a lesson, and select one of the 'move' options, or 'remove'.
