The Showell to HubSpot integration offers several valuable benefits, including the ability to:

  • Send Showell shares directly from a HubSpot contact.
  • Access analytics data to see contact activity, directly from the HubSpot contact profile.
  • Automatically add visitors of the share link (digital sales room) as new contacts in HubSpot.
    • HubSpot's Auto-association feature automatically links new contacts to their corresponding companies in your HubSpot database, streamlining your contact management process.
  • Additionally - HubSpot's automation features enhance your workflow. For instance, if a contact engages with a Showell share, you can set up automated actions based on this activity.

 



Create Dedicated Integration Users

💡 Optional, but recommended!

Create separate user accounts specifically for the integration. These serve as a bridge between your CRM and Showell, simplifying management and minimizing interruptions (For instance, interruptions can occur if the user who authorized the connection is removed or deleted).

Create a Dedicated Integration User in HubSpot

  • Example Account Name: Companyname_Admin or showell.admin@yourdomain.com.
  • Access Rights: Ensure this user has "App Marketplace Access" to complete the authorization.
  • When authorizing the connection between Showell and HubSpot, Sign in with this User Account

Create a Dedicated Integration User in Showell:

  • Example Account Name: Companyname_Admin or showell.admin@yourdomain.com.
  • Access Rights: Assign this user with the Admin role.
  • In Showell, sign in with this user account to initiate the authorization process.

 



Authorize the connection between HubSpot and Showell


1. Open Showell Admin, and login with your (dedicated integration) user account

2. From the top menu, select: Admin > HubSpot

3. Begin authorization by selecting “Authorize by signing in to HubSpot

4. Login with your (dedicated integration) HubSpot user's credentials

5. Choose your HubSpot account > click Choose Account > Click Connect App.

6. The connection is now authorized between Showell And HubSpot

 



Setting up Showell in HubSpot

After establishing the connection, you can configure several features in HubSpot to fully enjoy the benefits of this integration.

Showell Contact Card

The 'Showell contact card' is used to quickly share materials to your contact.

At first it can be found on the right-hand side at the bottom of each contact's profile. For easier access, we recommend bringing it higher up on the sidebar.

As an Admin you can change the default location for this
, so all users can benefit seeing it right at the top or at your desired location:

1. In HubSpot, navigate to your settings

2. under Data Management, click Objects > Contacts

3. Choose Record Customization and click on 'Default view'

4. From the right hand side, drag and drop the Showell Contact Card to the desired position > Save and Exit 


As a regular user, you can manually move this as well:

1. Navigate to your contact in HubSpot

2. Hover the card to see a 'drag & drop' handle appear next to its title

3. Simply grab a hold of it and drag it all the way to the desired location

Timeline Events (Contact Activities)

Once a Share has been made, you can follow its activity from your contact's timeline (Activities).

As a user
, you can enable this the following way:

1. Navigate to your contact in HubSpot

2. Go to the user Activities tab

3. Click the 'Filter by: Filter activity' > Checkmark 'Showell for HubSpot'

At this time, there is no option for Admins to set a default configuration for all users in HubSpot. As a result, it is important to inform your users about this feature so they can enable it individually.

Showell can be integrated with any HubSpot plan, including the free plan.

Can we disable the automated contact creation?

Yes, it is possible to disable automated contact creation upon request. However, please note that doing so will result in the loss of Timeline Events for any contacts that are not already present in your HubSpot database.

Why am I unable to see Showell's share analytics and tracking data in HubSpot?

It may take up to three hours for analytics data to appear in HubSpot. This delay is due to the fact that Timeline Events cannot be updated in real time. To ensure that you receive the most accurate and comprehensive analytics, we have implemented this waiting period for data transfer. If new analytics are generated after this initial three-hour window, a subsequent Timeline Event will be created to reflect the latest activity.
